Requirement for Superset Consulting A prominent financial services firm sought to transition from a leading industry BI solution in one of its key products to an open-source system (Superset) in order to achieve significant savings on licensing costs.
Deliverables NobleProg held multiple project meetings with the client to thoroughly understand the requirements, scope, risks, and technical environment. Based on this analysis, we developed a comprehensive Statement of Work to guide and track the project. Our lead consultant worked to align the existing data architecture with the reporting requirements for each report type. The NobleProg lead consultant recommended modifications to the data stores to maximize Superset's capabilities and ensure optimal performance, while also providing guidance to the team implementing these changes. After optimizing the data store and data pipeline, our consultants began building and deploying various reports based on existing requirements as well as new requests from the business and customers. To present the data as requested, some custom plug-ins have been created to enable more interactive data presentation, including drill-down features.
Outcome The consultants have been developing new dashboards and ensuring that sufficient knowledge is embedded within the customer's organization to maintain the dashboards and reports.
The project is currently ongoing and has been well received by both the customer's business and their end clients. To underscore the success of the project, it has been expanded to include more products and end clients.
