Superset Data Visualisation and Dashboard Consulting Requirement
A major financial services organisation sought to transition away from a leading commercial BI solution for one of its key products, opting instead for an Open Source platform (Superset) to significantly reduce licence costs.
Deliverables NobleProg facilitated several project meetings with the client to thoroughly understand the requirements, scope, risks, and technical environment. This foundation allowed us to develop a comprehensive Statement of Work to guide and track the project’s progress. Our lead consultant worked to align the existing data architecture with the specific reporting requirements for each report type. They recommended modifications to the data stores to maximise the utility of Superset and ensure optimal performance, while providing direct guidance to the team implementing these changes. Once the data store and pipeline were optimised, our consultants began building and deploying a variety of reports, addressing both existing requirements and new requests from the business and end customers. To present the data as requested, custom plug-ins were developed to enable more interactive data presentation features, such as drill-down capabilities.
Outcome The consultants have successfully built new dashboards while ensuring that sufficient knowledge is embedded within the client organisation to maintain these dashboards and reports going forward. The project is currently ongoing and has been well received by both the client’s business units and their end clients. To underscore the project's success, its scope has been expanded to include additional products and end clients.
