The curriculum is structured around a real-world process I previously handled manually for a former employer. We will construct a Power App using Microsoft Power Apps to monitor construction tasks for new homes, with data stored in SharePoint for simplicity. Subsequently, we will leverage Power Virtual Agents to demonstrate how to enable bots within Microsoft Teams, guiding users to locate documents scattered across various SharePoint sites, such as loan agreements, budgets, and sales contracts. These bots are particularly valuable for HR and IT teams to manage repetitive inquiries. Additionally, you will learn to configure straightforward flows in Power Automate to archive attachments from specific senders (in our example, bank-organized inspection reports for the units). We will also explore other simple flows that save data from Microsoft Forms to SharePoint and establish fully automated workflows using the Approvals app within Microsoft Teams. After completing the app, bot, and flow, the final phase involves creating a simple Power BI report. We will use Power Automate to send a snapshot of the latest completed tasks table every two weeks to a designated recipient (the bank in this scenario), requesting a drawdown that includes the completion dates and budget amounts for those tasks (all data collected via the app). Please note that this course is very high-level. I recommend all learners use ChatGPT to assist with technical aspects, such as coding or formulas in Power Apps. However, this course also covers this technique, demonstrating how to effectively utilize ChatGPT to help with Power Apps formulas.
